My husband and I are in desperate need of help to pay our bills! We fell behind on our mortgage and other bills this last year.We had a car accident when my husband had a severe seizure and lost control of our car.We left the road going about fifty plus,we then hit a mailbox, went in a ditch, and hit a giant tree. The car was totaled! They had to cut me out of the car.We were extremely blessed! My injuries were the worse.I had broken my right tibia, and crushed the right ankle. The surgeon had to put a rod in my leg and plates, pins, and screws in my ankle. My husband broke his ribs. But considering the rate of speed we were lucky to escape with our lives! Mark,my husband suffers from seizures that just started from nowhere! He worked as an EMT-I for over six years, then had to give it up because of having seizures. He could not work for a while until we brought the seizures under control. They wanted him to wait a year before driving again. That was really hard on us to not to be able to just let him drive anywhere.Until that is taken away everyone takes for granite their right to drive.I was of no help because I could not walk,I was in a cast for a long time.My family helped with getting us to and fro for the year. Mark is back to driving. He has started a new job but I am constantly worried about him driving and having another seizure. I can't help because I am disabled from a previous injury. I suffer from a C-Spine injury, and also still on a cane to walk. I am possibly facing two maybe even three more surgeries. We have had such bad karma for so long! We are hoping to have our luck change for the better but it can't be soon enough! My husband has had to file for bankruptcy and we are in danger of losing our home that he built with his own two hands! He is such a hard worker,Mark has worked all of his life, thats what he knows. His dad taught him at a young age to work hard for what you want. But now we seem to be fighting for a losing battle! Please if anyone can help us know that we would be grateful! We have always helped others. We have taken into our hearts and home children that had nowhere else to go.They could not turn to the state for help without legal complications Mark would support them until they got past their hardships and could make it on their own.We stay in touch as much as we can.Unfortunetly we can't ask any of them for help because they barely have any means to help. If there is any help to be had we are definitely in need. We are not in the habit of asking others for hand outs, usually we are the ones who volunteer to help. So it is very unusual to be on the other end of the spectrum. I really hope that people take into their hearts that they are so many that need help! If I can get past our hardships I know that I for one will never take for granite the different ways that I and many others can make a difference in peoples lives!
